I can name that tune in four notes
Or better said, I can get her to change her mind in four sentences.
Regis and I watched the movie "The Break-Up" last night, featuring Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston. The movie featured Vaughn's character as a Notre Dame fan which was the only redeeming quality of the movie in my humble opinion.
Anyway, as the credits rolled, Regis and I went through the customary post-movie debrief.
Her: "What a cute movie."
Me: [puzzled look] "It stunk."
Her: "Well, it wasn't great but kinda cute?"
Me: "No, it was dreadful. It didn't go anywhere."
Her: "Well, I didnt' say it was great."
Me: "And it got less funny as it went on!"
Her: "Yeah, it stunk."
I need to be careful the next time she says I'm cute.
